Embrace Your Face — Age with Grace!
Whether you are a medi-spa devotee or a soap and water gal, Laurie has something for you.
Every service Laurie performs is results-driven but, over time, her philosophy has shifted from anti-aging to pro-aging. Simply put, pro-aging is about honoring yourself where you are in the aging process — taking the best care of yourself inside and out so you can feel confident, authentic and vibrant at every age.
Pro-aging does not mean rejecting all treatments and products and aging completely naturally. It could mean getting regular facials, going grey, getting Botox and fillers or doing nothing at all. It means you get to chose how you age. Laurie fully supports your choices and is here to empower you in your journey.
Laurie has tools in her arsenal from state-of-the-art, advanced technology and ingredients to holistic, ancient Chinese techniques. Her unique ability to combine the art of science and nature blend beautifully to enhance your skin, soothe your body and calm your soul.
If this resonates with you, Laurie invites you to step into her studio and put life on pause. Please, come as you are — there is no pretense here, just priceless attention given with loving hands and a kind smile.
Laurie is passionate about aesthetics, bodywork and education and has kept up with the dynamic changes that are happening in these industries.
She is Certified by the National Coalition of Estheticians Association (NCEA). Why is this noteworthy? Because it is the highest voluntary level of advanced aesthetic certification in the U.S. currently available to aestheticians.
Many states are moving towards tiered levels of licensure with the trend of having two tiers of licensing such as "Esthetician" and "Master Esthetician". (There is currently no licensure for a "Medical Esthetician" in any state.) The trend is leaning towards NCEA Certification as the benchmark for the "Master Esthetician" level of licensure.
National Coalition of Estheticians Association
The NCEA's mission is to help estheticians raise standards with national credentialing and continuing education accreditation. In addition, they engage in promoting legislative change throughout the U.S.
Maryland Esthetician's Alliance
Licensed estheticians are facing a severe and untenable situation, shackled by oppressive restrictions and encroachments on our scope of practice. The Alliance is a non-profit organization that was formed to protect and advance Maryland's esthetician's scope of practice, and to secure recognition and respect for licensed professionals. They are currently engaged in promoting regulatory and legislative change in Maryland.
